WCOM will come back. SBC just did. After this earnings anxiety week big telcos will do fine. Great strong values. -

This profit-taking sell-off today was predictable and anticipated. I'm relieved it's orderly and happened so soon. Get it out of the way. The Naz should hold 2000. Maybe even hold right here. Bumpy this week then resume recovery mode. Gradual but in spurts as well. Shorts have limited opportunities between now and fed cut day. Until then for the very quick scalp artists. Those who were smart enough to short at the top Friday are rewarded now, but only if they cover pretty quickly. A few of the fliers are looking like tempting buys again. Look at ERICY for instance. Its bad earnings makes it cheap now but the value (tremendous revenues and dominance in big top niches) is there. (PS - I don't own it - yet) Put in several low bids but none have filled yet.

Patience longs. Today is a consolidation day with some short-side feeding. It won't last long.
