Fewer cars means faster commute times, which means cars spend less time on the road, further reducing traffic congestion.

... which then leads to fewer people carpooling since the traffic incentive goes down. Then traffic becomes congested once again, and we're back to square one.

Aren't we getting tired of this circular argument?
