The servers are being used to automate DISH Network's satellite uplink distribution facilities while providing a foundation for future growth and enhancement. MediaStream 700 is a complete digital storage and playback system that offers up to seven channels of broadcast quality standard and/or high definition MPEG-2 video. Industry-first 180GB storage drives will enable customers like EchoStar to cost-effectively add storage to the disk expansion chassis purchased with the MediaStream servers. Pinnacle Systems partnered with Encoda Systems, a leading provider of business systems and automated delivery systems and services, in arranging the solution for EchoStar.
