GSPRS does not work.

W-CDMA does not work.

I guess AT&T will have to go straight to the "EDGE".

What a mess the European Cabal has made of the the wireless industry.

Loss of face for DOCOMO is huge. DOCOMO's Problem is not at all helpful to QCOM because it delays 3G royalties from a Japanese W-CDMA expansion by 6 months. On the other hand, everyone was convinced that DOCOMO would have only a very limited roll out. Now the Japanese have the Chinese bearing down on them except that KDDI is a CDMA2000 leader. Getting this far behind in a fast product cycle industry with QCOM running balls-to-the-wall to make new product advances is really dangerous. I think QCOM is committed to suport J-phone's W-CDMA roll out in 2002.
