15:47 ET Rumor Mill : "Pushout" is the word of the afternoon. At least two rumor circulating in the market at present involving pushouts of large orders. The first involves storage management software company Veritas (VRTS 58.20 -9.16); second name mentioned is JDS Uniphase (JDSU 23.92 -4.61), which is said to be receiving pushouts from Ciena (CIEN 60.42 -6.67)... Could be that investors/traders looking for explanation beyond the obvious one -- profit-taking -- to explain weakness in tech and select names today
