I am concerned about the "snowball" in unemployment and the realtively high debt levels of both individuals and companies. GST, This is a real problem. I can't find any evidence of improvement here and most individuals and firms have more debt than they can service. The reduction in interest rates makes the cost of servicing some of the debt less but that is not enough to solve this in my opinion. The company debt is not confined to one area such as telecommunications. It may be worse there but most retailers, manufacturers, etc. are carrying more debt than historically. I can't say I really follow the service industries too well.
