Al, you would think by this time they would know if minerals in the soil are carbonates or oxides, there is such a thing as microscopes, and pans to pan concentrates, would'n there be grains of hydrozincite or malicite,or cuprite or something or is it in ionic form or what. if it leached from sulfide ores would'nt there be more iron and sulfur in the soils, however if there is primery sulfide mineralization underneat, this is definitly one to whatch
