Re bike sailing. About 25 yrs ago I rode a bike about 3 mi. to work. In the fall and spring when the conditions required a jacket, I would sometimes be able to unzip the jacket, grab the zipper ends in each hand and sail at 5 mph and up, depending on the wind. Once I was timed by a co-worker in his car on the same route on a particularly breezy day at close to 30 mph. The best things about it are the thrill of the ride and that you can drop your sails any time the ride starts to get out of hand. Of course with the wind it my face sometimes I thought I was peddling up MT. Everest. :-)
