E FWIW I have been hearing a lot of nasty s*&t about ME and its stability. Wonder if you can get 98SE or 2000 instead of ME on your new system

I've used the full version of Windows ME since last Nov. and have experienced the opposite as to stability.

SE crashed continually and after doing a clean install of ME my stability problems are now nonexistent.

Same computer.

Too late, it's built. But I've heard good reports about ME, as well as those negative ones. And until this weird thing happened when I tried to defrag, I liked it fine. It certainly crashed less than my Windows98....
