tc same numbers as me. so maybe it's a version thing, instead of an os thing. you and i have nsw2001. gottfried? you running 2001 (nsw4.0)? "Don't know what it was but I now have it. :-)" LOL! no doubt. i actually think it has to do with live registration, not registry. i think it's probably a very inconsequential update. bwdik? man, wouldn't it be great if symantec clued us in on what we were installing? no wonder some folks on this board think we're nuts.... installing stuff we don't even know about, just going on blind faith. :) mark
