Janus Global Technology
Fund ...... Mike Lu watched helplessly
as it climbed to the top of Mount Everest and
fell off the other side.

Lu was traveling and was unavailable for comment.

His emphasis on international technology sets the
fund apart from most of its competitors.
Unfortunately, the tech meltdown was worldwide, and
the diversification in the end didn't provide much
protection.

The fund fared the poorest among its Denver
colleagues in last year's collapse, losing 33.7 percent.

But Lu did better in the first quarter, losing 30.5
percent.

The fund gained 9.4 percent in the week ended April
9, said Bradley Sweeney, a mutual fund analyst with
Morningstar Inc. in Chicago.

Lu's top five holdings at the end of March were, in
order, JDS Uniphase, Nokia, Veritas Software, Sun
Microsystems and Texas Instruments. Sweeney said
the mix is wide: a fiber-optic provider, a maker of
cellular handsets, a software provider, a maker of
servers and a chip manufacturer.

But Sweeney also noted that China Telecom is the
fund's seventh-largest holding.

Doug I have no idea about this pull back but if TA works
now I thing Nasdaq 1973 and SnP 1185.

What is making me more bullish is that nobody believe that
we can rally. If you remember on Jan 01 or May 00 the media
was talking about market bottom. Now nobody is talking about it. Just one thing is wrong in my view, we rally too fast, but FED helped it also short squeeze. Now I'm looking how market will act without this initial help.
