Especially in the morning when it had taken control of your head during the night and was asserting itself at breakfast before you smacked it back down again. you have great short hair. I have insecure, retiring hair. I have to coax it out, flatter it, beg each strand to stand up and be proud every morning. During the night, my hair is beaten into subjugation by the pillow and is found in the morning abjectly clinging to my head like a baby Rhesus monkey until it receives its Daily Hydrotherapy Threatment) CW's site seems to be gone. I'm sure I wrote about it when it happened... it was a satire of people in school - a lot of people contributed though he never told on anyone and took full responsibility. He had the poor taste to publish a picture of two guys drinking enormous steins of beer, and labeling it "Quarterback XXXXXX and Coach XXXXXX enjoy a cold one after the big game." Unfortunately both the Quarterback and the Coach are rabid Christians and were extremely offended. And one teacher, a Ms Moody whom he had renamed Ms PMS, called him in and said, "I'm too old. I don't even have PMS." She was the one who went to the principal and said CW shouldn't graduate. I just hate these situations. We told him he had been cruel and thoughtless and owed people apologies, but they got so ridiculous about it. Thank God the principal (who had gotten his share of ridicule and whose feelings were very hurt because he really liked CW) managed to stay reasonable and it was decided that he could do a few community service hours and graduate. CW was incensed. It was a violation of his freedom of speech as far as he was concerned. My point was that what he did was Bad Manners. As you know, we are big into Good Manners here. Had they said he couldn't graduate, we would have sued them, of course, for that would have been so Rude and would have negated the need for us to behave Courteously.
