There may be some downside on semis but I wouldn't short any of them for more than 24 hours after a rally. And they already tanked today. I would have covered at day's end. Tomorrow looks like a decent day though not necessarily for semis. LSI at 19 or INTC at 29 for instance ain't such a bad deal. Not much downside. Computer companies are recovering so sox will as well. But I'm not buying here either. I'd buy them both 3 points lower.

The general direction is still up for tech esp for those which haven't participated yet. 2nd and 3rd tiers mostly, as well as big telcos.

And you have the wrong idea about SCNT too. They're the creme de la creme at what they do and will land on their feet. They were the first to downsize and reduce burn-off and they've got a lot of cash. Their stock is so low the market cap is less than cash or revenues. down from 120 to 1. A dog with fleas but a rich classy one which just had a flea bath. I think it will triple at least this year and would still be down 96.5% at that point. So I'm not asking much.
