Thanks much. Checked with some one, while he didn't say any numbers, he did say that GS is short not just gold, but all things related to gold, and also short petro, natural gas, etc etc natural resources. Now, these positions are in an offshore subsidiary (but of course), and may or may not be of killer dimensions (we will find out if they are). The positions may also move in ways that they balance out. Only the LTCM smarties and the shadow knows. This is like watching a thriller movie, the sound track music is speeding up, getting louder, and the motion is getting slow. I may take a toilet break soon, because I cannot watch blood spilled.
