Good article about stock picking and some good choices. I might add that nowhere in the article did he concern himself with any of the usual metrics that are so often mentioned here. (P.E., PS. P/B etc)

: We do not use price targets. And we don't have a time horizon at what I would term an arbitrary framework. I don't think that the business world is like that. If we want to own that company, until there is a material deterioration in the fundamental outlook.

All this discussion about how far AMAT is from the top or bottom of what part of what cycle as relative to what year in recent or distant history may be a waste of time.

Could his simplistic approach be a money maker?
