Keynes was definitely a Cassandra about the consequences of the Treaty of Versailles, and about the consequences of returning to the gold standard after World War I. I think the fact that his predictions were so prescient, even though unheeded, is what made him so revered.

Are you studying economics in college? Or a professional economist?

I'm teaching myself economics autodidactly - not sure if that's a real word.-g-
