why assume that he is correct?

Assume you are correct and co earns 23.6, 26, 33.8, 42.2 and 50.7 B$ in FY '01 through '05.

csco never grew actual earnings anything near those projections over the last 5 years. during a internet boom...a market mania...

to even talk about these kind of projects is a waste of time. actual earnings have barely grown over the last few years. and with the actual losses, and charges getting reported now...it's over.

csco is a joke...wall street and insiders get the last laugh.

Ahhhh, John. Numbers can be manipulated any way you please. I for one think Cisco will still be a viable company in 2035. So if we say Cisco grows 10% (2002), 30% (2003), 25% (2004), 20% (2005), 15% (2006), 10% (2007), 5% (2008-2015), and 0% (2016-2035), and we say the discount rate is 10% and starting Free Cash Flow is $3.9B, I get a DCF of $128.58B. Divide that by 7B shares and you get a share price of $18.37. So the way I figure it, Cisco is worth anywhere between your estimate of $4 and my estimate of $18.37. Hmmm.
