Ahhh...the good old days when poison packed a real whollap. At our house someone doused the ground under the backyard fence with some potent sh*t. Nothing has grown there in the 8 years we have been in the house. Today all you can get is some wimpy weed killer that biodegrades and lets the weeds grow back in a few months. I have heard tales of people using old motor oil to create a scorched earth effect around there houses to control weeds, termites, and damn near about everything, but I have never tried it myself.

You might still be able to find the good stuff. Just avoid the chain retail stores. Maybe try a good old fashioned mom and pop hardware store or farm & fleet type store.

They are in your house and you expect them to go away.
Not gonna happen.

If you insist upon a "green" solution.
Diatameceous Earth could work as well and it is non toxic.
Keep it away from pets however.

I would just use raid and be done with it.
There are some better sents than original as well.

...I was sort of hoping I could get them to go away without too many changes....

Try messing with their minds. Publish and distribute an ant version of 'Atlas Shrugged' for them to read. -g-
