When you boot up...as soon as the screen appears you can hit the pause key. That will usually let you read the cpu speed...when done.. hit any key and the boot up will continue. Note...cpu speed is entered in the bios ....some less than honest assemblers will enter a higher cpu speed and the read that you get on boot up will give you whatever speed is entered in the bios. Also wintune will give you a read on your actual cpu speed, but winmag.com is deceased and I'm not sure where wintune is at the moment?
