I've visited the Yale campus and area surrounding the Yale campus and I've no fear of getting mugged. At night the streets are well lit and there are no plans for blackouts. I live only 15 miles from the yale campus. Off course if you consider having a conversation with a vacant liberal mind being mugged their might be some truth in what you say. I suspect that the years of booming technology economy in California left the government agencies in California responsible for planning with engineers of only your caliber and thus the problem.
