Dave, I saw this today,

1.7% of guns used by criminals are bought at gun shows.

35.4% come from family or friends.

15% come from drug dealers.

You are more apt to suffer from a violent crime in Australia, x2, than in the US. Australia went gun free. Also England where gun ownership is dead.
