I found the lyrics I was thinking of ~

Looking through some photographs I found inside a drawer
I was taken by a photograph of you
There were one or two I know you would have liked a little more
But they didn't show your spirit quite as true

You were turning 'round to see who was behind you
And I took your childhood laughter by surprise
And at the moment that my camera happened to find you
There was just a trace of sorrow in your eyes

from Fountain of Sorrow by Jackson Browne

~~

reminds me of you, too, oh humorous one with a trace of sorrow. Maybe it really is one of life's truths that the funniest people are also the saddest.

So see, I can DISH it out.

I fear my pan pun may have sailed a little high and outside of the PLATE. It was about the kids' put-downs and your camera-swings .... a mixed pun?

pan: to rotate (as a motion-picture camera) so
as to keep an object in the picture ...
