milo, What if VIA stopped shipping AMD chipsets tomorrow or whenever, citing production problems?? It would then move it's own parts into that void and so would Intel.
Would AMD be able to mount a chipset response within 2-3 months? It would take about that long, so we now know that this is what VIA has planned for AMD just in time to cripple the fall buildup.Sometime in may/June I suspect this will happen and AMD needs to forestall this eventuality.
