Bill & NG, there is no AMD mobo premium anymore, at least going by pricewatch. KT133a boards start at $70, kt133 at $59, km133 and SiS 730 integrated video mobos can be had for $75. The cheapest Intel 815 board I found listed was $77. I guess there's a few Via Intel boards a little cheaper than $70, and there are a bunch of VC820 boards out there yet for really cheap.

I don't know what it looks like to OEMs, but it doesn't look like mobos are any great advantage to Intel at the DIY/ screwdriver shop level.

Agreed...Just as OEM's need AMD to keep the larger competitor in check, AMD needs several suppliers to avoid too much reliance (i.e potential vulnerability) on any one!
