In truth, Jones wouldn't go against Tyson. He likes his ears too much.

Well, at 195 Jones would be a cruiserweight, that little niche between light heavies and heavies where guys like Bobby Czyz and Evander Holyfield saw some success.

Nonetheless, at that point 5 or so extra pounds would be no big deal, and would put Roy Jones in position to fight well against - and I believe, beat - someone like Chris Byrd, who fights just over the border of the heavyweight division, in the 202-205 lb. area.

As for Jones versus Tyson, wow; I think I'd be excited to see that one. I think I'd bet on a Jones victory by decision in that one, just thinking out loud. I don't think Jones would hurt him, let alone KO him, but I'm simultaneously quite sure Tyson wouldn't be able to land solid combinations with Jones' jab - more annoying and distracting than damaging - in his face.

I think Jones would 'tag' him into a rage, not with power but accuracy; leading Tyson around the ring, scoring, scoring, scoring, never hurting him but leading him to throw the huge meatballs we saw in the 8th, 9th, and 10th rounds versus Holyfield in November '96.

And, with regard to his ears...I think that without trying to bash Tyson in the face with ones' head, having ears, noses, shoulders, etc. bitten is a small worry.

And, even if the biting was a looming danger...is the $ worth the risk? More than a few fighters since that fateful day in the summer of 1997 have said, rather emphatically, "Yes!" :)
