XM Radio's Second Satellite Sails for Equator

With XM's 'Rock' in Orbit, 'Roll' Scheduled for May 7 Launch

WASHINGTON, April 25 /PRNewswire/ -- XM Satellite Radio's (Nasdaq:
XMSR) "XM Roll" satellite is aboard the Sea Launch platform on its way
from California to the equatorial Pacific Ocean, where it is scheduled to
launch into orbit May 7.

The Odyssey Launch Platform, carrying XM Roll, to be joined by the
Assembly and Command Ship, Sea Launch Commander, are sailing
approximately 3,000 miles from Long Beach, Calif., to the launch site on the
Equator at 154 degrees West Longitude, in open waters of the Pacific Ocean.
A 200-foot Zenit- 3SL rocket will lift the 10,289 lb. (4,672 kg) digital audio
radio satellite to geosynchronous transfer orbit. Its final position will be at 85
degrees West Longitude.
