Quite an elegant way of talking about it. If you are right then it justifies your elecutive erudition. If wrong it is at least it's wrongheaded stuff where one can admire the delivery. Like I always used to say about Tommy Douglas. Man that commie @!%^*#@! could speachify! He almost deserved to be right.

LBJ was right. The press is manipulated to Inquisit with the nagging question that will invariable inhabit the minds of the plebes, of why would they ask, if it ain't really so? The incongruous image of asking the focus if the "rumours" are true is never doubted. The penny never drops for the readers of the Hearst Daily Slur. That an investigative journalist should grill his sources instead is thought to be "ad hominem" It might serve to break the chain if they did.
