Paul, The Dr. said: "I'm an investor in other companies, and I'll probably spend more time on some of the high-tech companies to be announced." Looks to me he had more confidence in 'other companies' than in Novell. That tells a lot about a good CEO. I agree with you, in order for Messman to get control he should move corporate out of Utah Dieter

Will Messman continue to be a member of the Novell board? "...It is also a condition to the closing that two directors of Cambridge designated by Cambridge, other than Mr. Messman, be appointed to the Novell board of directors..."(p6) "...Furthermore, Novell's compensation committee has approved the grant of stock options to purchase Novell common stock and grants of restricted stock to officers of Cambridge on the twelfth day of the month following the completion of the merger. The compensation committee also has approved the continuation of base salary and incentive compensation for these Cambridge officers..."(p16) And this is a good one: "...Novell's operating results may suffer as a result of the impact of amortization of goodwill relating to its proposed combination with Cambridge..."(p17) sec.gov
