So your point is? You forgot to mention the rates for the other 5 crimes listed was also higher in the US than England. If you look at a map of the US and compare the counties that Gore carried with a map that shows the highest murder rates, and other crimes as well, the counties match up very closely. If we really wanted to lower the US crime rate we should jail all the democrats.

Dear scum, I suggest if you look at the 16 million population Vote Bush victory map you would see that the murder rate is 6.5 times higher in the SORE zone and I'd also suggest that an analysis of population density would show the correlation is in humans per square mile and at some critical density and America has many more critically dense miles. boortz.com also you can bookmark watman.com to assist you in finding genuine honest technology and political commentary. As was posted before and you missed Austraila has the same no gun policy of England and 2x murder rate. That's an attitude thing. I also guess that gun density (guns/person) in rural areas of the US where murder rates are 1/6 are far higher than in urban areas. I's also suspect that the two parents per child density is higher. The attend church per person density is higher. As a first string engineer I have no doubt that these social factors are more important in all crimes than the availability of a tool. What sixth string engineers fail to grasp is that guns do not kill. Cars do not kill. Drugs do not kill. People thru stupidity or evil intent use whatever means to gratify whatever need they have. These people don't care about the rights of others and know best what is right for others and themselves. Still, the fact that the US has a 500% higher murder rate is significant to those who do not have their head buried in the darker regions of the National Rifle Association's anatomy. It is a capital offense to own a firearm in Taiwan, yet they have a higher murder rate than we do. In South Africa, guns are strictly controlled, yet their murder rate is 10 times that of the US. You of course have an explanation, probably something as sincere as "the takeover of the Tories". I donated a little money to the NRA and feel I got my money's worth. When crime is done mainly by computer I wonder who we'll blame, the manufacturers, the designers, 50 to 1000, at that rate they will eventually pass us as their rates have been going up since 1981 and ours are going down. Imagine explaining that to a four year old.
