Problem with the "recycle bin" solved. Had to delete the windows file "ShellIconCache", but I'm back in business. Many thanks.

Any ideas about the Norton 2000 problem? TIA.

Hi PW,
I tried deleting the shellconcache to fix icons being a black square for IE,Outlook and Desktop on the task bar and also many icons listed under programs, favorites, documents, and settings are also black squares.

Do you have any other suggestions to cure this problem.
