I think that X is an unknown.

Or it marks the spot.

Or it designates a head and shoulder chart pattern in an asyncromonious vector designating a positive spike.

"X" could indicate Xtremely tempting, as in qcom covered calls.

With the underlying trading at 62, the May 70s are bid 2.8, ask 2.95.
