Catlady, exactly what I wanted for recording online news items and playing them offline. I installed Total Recorder and tried it out. Easy to use! I will now proceed to pay my $12.

Wow, thanks for the responses. VatLady, I think I'm gonna go with the Total Recorder.

Because of my high level of procrastination It'll probably be a few weeks best before I get to the cassette recording phase. I will let you know and then tell me if you want me to send you some shows I have.
