Wonder how it will affect the techs tomorrow though?

I took some lumps today on AMCC, but I will live to fight another day. On a wild hair, I was watching CNBC mention PHM so I shifted the IBM short over there at 48. I wonder how long I can hold that position?

My only long(besides some pathetic gold) CKFR performed surprisingly well. All in all, I can live with days like today.

Bulls better not start getting week in the knees, because there isn't gonna be a whole lot of good news to feed them down the road.

<<QUilcom as expected...major warning going forward:
thestreet.com
>>

I think the warning should have been expected and am surprised it didn't come out sooner.

Aside from that, the news still looks good on qcom, imo. Short term, it'a anybodies guess, but even with the warning, they still expect to meet consensus for the year and were very upbeat about the future.

Additionally, although they warned, most every ANALyst I have heard has said something to the effect of if you can stomach the volatility of qualcoms stock, it is a must have, as they will be a cash cow in the coming wireless world. Most ANALysts said that qualcom shareholders should be richly rewarded if they can remain patient as the buld of the world is moving over to one flavor of qualcom technology or another..........

Anyway, I dont put much credence in ANALysts anymore, but do agree that qualcom stands to do very well if your looking at the long term picture. If it dips into the $40's, which it very well could do, I think it represents a good buying opp.........and knowing the houses, I wouldn't be surprised if they bring qcom to $30 this summer, just so they can buy some on the cheap......JMOOC
