OT: Austria's OMV Signs Oil Exploration Deal with Iran VIENNA, Apr 23 (Reuters) - Austrian oil and chemicals group OMV AG said on Monday it had signed an exploration contract with the National Iranian Oil Company (NIOC) for four years. The contract covers a 2,500 square kilometre block onshore in western Iran. The deal is for a geological area called central Zagros. OMV said the potential for finding oil in this block was "significant". The deal represents OMV's first endeavour in Iran, one of world's richest oil and gas nations.
