One of the other family customs that we had(in the past tense)was no 'dating' until kidlet was 16. On kidlet's 16th birthday, I asked how dates were lined up for that day! "Oh, MOM!!". At any rate, she was very busy with national level synchronized swimming, so dating was not on her mind although her hormones were in overdrive, I am sure. She swam 30 hours a week while in last 2 yrs of high school. Even though, she was in great physical condition, she had no time for "boys hanging around the house syndrome". Syncie
