It's always about money and government intervention. My brother in Africa can't keep it in his pants or use it responsibly and now I'm my brothers keeper. This is simply about promoting socialism.

Money is the root of all evil to you people, except government money, which is the root of all goodness and human happiness.

I wonder what would Mother Teresa say about it?

I'm all for trying to find a cure and/or a vaccine for AIDS, but a lot of money is all
ready spent in this effort. I'm not sure that should more funding for medical research become available it should be spent on AIDS research rather then research into treatments for cardio-vascular disease or cancer or some other medical problem.

I would not oppose spending more on AIDS research esp. not by private groups such as the Gates foundation, but I don't like how some diseases become political favorites while others that kill as many or more people are comparatively ignored. This also happens with things like human rights campaigns (compare the attention paid to
oppression in South Africa compared to the often worse human rights abuses in many of the countries to its north).
