Dude, could you start your own thread or something? If I see one more post about VZ or LU on this thread, I think my head is going to explode.

I dunno man.. your reading different reports then I am if you think everything is peach/cream now..

Ill be anxiously awaiting your take on the WCOM numbers.. :)

As I see it, in the last 2 weeks if you were betting on the upside you got extremely lucky with the fed cut and got a free ride. If you were short and hit stocks after the fed, you could cash in now for a very handsome profit.. Not exactly the forcast you set forth for this week now that we are back to the 2000 level on the nasdaq. I think while your bashing people for slanting to the short side at this time, you need to realize that your own restrictive thinking just cost you on a nice downside move here.. I dunno- I guess your on a mission..

AS, I agree with your comment on not being perpetually pessimistic although the other extreme can be hazardous as well.

Regarding companies beating estimates, recall that just about every tech company out there reduced estimates, some of them multiple times, so that shouldn't necessarily be a surprise. If you keep lowering the bar far enough you can eventually jump over it.
