Dear Cyberken: I am a Vietnam Vet and I will be frank, I watched Kerrey's public humiliation speech and I did not like it. I am not ashamed of ANYTHING in the least over there. Hell, they had little kids selling cokes laced with poison, women with grenades in their bosoms etc etc. There WERE NO CIVILIANS in that war. Plus, the atrocities committed by the VC and the NVA FAR EXCEEDED anything done by our troops. Thats a fact. I especially did not like his comment that his medals mean nothing to him, thats probably a flat out lie, but if it isn't then its a PERSONAL AFFRONT to the many fine people (some friends of mine) who died or suffered terrible injuries. Sorry, thats just the way I feel. An exmarine. JDN

CK,

Had North Vietnam been dealt with effectively in the early 60's, the war and its many Kerrey-like tragedies would not have occurred, and the protracted conflict might have ended a decade or so earlier

What a crock of right-wing crapola.
