This is a very sensitive time for Taiwan, caught now between two bristling superpowers. China has used the Hainan incident to aggressively defend its territorial integrity. The incident has also emboldened Taiwan's friends in Washington, who are now gushing with promises of military aid and cooperation, partly as a means of making China "pay" for its 11-day detention of the aircraft's crew.

All this comes at a bad time for Taiwan's business community, which is hoping for greater access to China's economy as a way out of creeping recession, and for the year-old government of President Chen Shui-bian and its efforts to engage Beijing.

Somewhere someone is thinking how to overcome trade barriers. That could very well be made in China is shipped elsewhere and another country's label popped on.
The result is not made in China but a middleman finds a new market in a indirect route.
