You're right, it's getting too late for Intel to make a cut in 2001 capex. I've been expecting a cut, based on industry conditions, but it hasn't happened.

If consumer demand holds up, the longs are probably right, that we've seen the bottom in the semi-equip stocks. We are now far enough into 2001, that investors are investing based on 2002 expectations, and everyone thinks the fundamentals will be improving by then.

Still holding my puts, but worried.
