rydad..."need a quick 25% gain" and the risk to get the "quick" gain usually has the potential to give an even larger loss...most issues that meet these parameters as a newp are day trading stocks with small float... look for quality companies, with strong fundamentals in a sector that has a bit of forward visibility, and sufficient cash in the bank to weather a potential economic storm... and if you choose wisely, the 25% may appear by year end... easy opportunities are gone, along with the easy gains that slipped through the fingers with disbelief... "easy come....easy go" good luck
