That is confirmed, I believe, by the announcement by Unisys of their new 'mini(?)mainframe'.

" The CS782, for example, will scale up to 32 processors, half of which will be Unisys' own mainframe chips and half of which will be 700-MHz to 900-MHz Itanium processors from Intel"
