That's a good reason to make a call public, he knows it will be squeezed up and then we can all double and triple up and ride the slide.

Most shorts recently recommended on the heavily read threads you are better off waiting a bit, except the risk with air pockets like HOMS is you miss the big dip.

the powers that be

might have more cash
might have the press in their pockets
might have public money to run it
might have the backing of paid analyst
but the one thing they dont have is the truth
it is all a facade (the run up, the rosy press releases): and the truth and reality will always surface

I think it's just plain ignorance. People have taken the 0.04 profit number that HOMS released and have accepted it as the undisputed truth. Anthony seems to be the only one actually looking at the numbers. Check out the following recently posted in Briefing.com's Story Stocks:

it's difficult to say HOMS has an issue on the valuation front. On a pullback from current levels, HOMS represents an attractive opportunity for long term investors wishing to participate in the growth of a profitable Internet business.

This is a clear signal to other failing companies that all they need to is fudge their expenses into some non-cash category, spin their numbers, and duck out while the public trips all over themselves to hold the bag.
