trying to cover a delay in a project by adding features to the final deliverable is bound to make it later. alas amd seems like a one good cpu company. i suspect we'll get back to many Qs of negative earnings.

The current excuses I hear regarding the schedule slip are "substantial architectural performance enhancements" and "coincide with SOI."

In CPU company talk this translates to: "we haven't figured out how to speed up the part yet, and SOI is way behind schedule."

Anyone know anything about "Barton"? Before clicking on your link I had never seen or heard anything about it.
