fr1....energy stocks are currently in vogue. i would apply the same rules in considering as any stock. buy on a pullback, set a tight stop, and if it goes up, move the stop up.

at some point the sector will fall out of favor, as all sectors do....the stops will assure profit.

not sure if long term buy and hold is appropriate for the short term market, unless you are buying that which has a considerable value, those with new highs tend to move up...but i wouldn't chase anything.
