I'm obviously a E-wave beginner and will do some studying up before continuing to post.

I had 30 to 40 multi-colored, multi-windowed charts I was going to post tonight, but I think I might wait a few days now...<vbg>

P.S. If you find any good links, post 'em. I'll do the same. Afterhours of course...

You are not alone.

I've been slowly working throught this tutorial-

elliottwave.com

I am too shy to ask anything- although I am hoping that maybe afterhours the powers that be would entertain the elementary questions and confusions of the day from the newbies, who while not too bright, are very eager and willing.

To all:

There are times in a count, at wiggles, when confusion seems to abound. Tops and bottoms are the best examples of this. We have had many a lively discussion about the various short-term wiggles. Just today I went long on one of my TA setups thinking that perhaps our little 'b' had another push in it. Most here know that when I go long or short it is for a few minutes at a time.

We have to keep our eye on the prize -- the big moves. It doesn't matter if we get whipped around at the top of a 'b', the bottom of a '1', or whatever -- it's being ready for the next big move that counts. When you get down to the short strokes of a top or bottom, you are liable to get whipped a few times. No matter.

The price for the last two days or so has been this 'c' we look to have started today. The next prize will be the middle, the 3 of this 'c'. A bigger prize than this should await us still, the 'C' we see coming next. And yet a bigger prize still awaits us after that -- the big down that might come at the end of the 'C'. I even take it one step further and try to trade aggressively only in the perceived middles of the moves. That's a style question. Traders like JRI and Poet, and often Shack as well, ease into positions at the perceived ends of moves, before price has obviously changed direction.

The scenario may become invalid before we get through all that, but it does not change the fact that the only way to trade this is to keep your eye on the prize and not overtrade the corrective wiggles, the tops, and the bottoms. We have referred to these times as "jello time".
