Juno and Time Warner Cable Ink Open-Access Agreement next

by Jill Hunter

Juno Online Services (Nasdaq: JWEB) signed an agreement with Time Warner Cable, the cable division of AOL Time Warner (NYSE: AOL), enabling Juno's high-speed Internet access service, Juno Express, to be delivered over AOL Time Warner's cable systems.

While the agreement is still subject to Federal Trade Commission approval, the companies expect to roll out a cable-based version of Juno Express once Time Warner Cable completes modifications so that its system can accommodate multiple ISPs. The two companies have scheduled an initial rollout in the second half of 2001.
