Peter - After the merger closes, it will be about time for another rumor that Novell is being acquired.

This is the last rumor that I found and is a familiar one.

Novell Inc. (NOVL) $12 5/16. As first reported on August 21, rumors continue to persist that company will be acquired by (IBM) for $24 per share.

I have omitted the URL because the source requires a paid subscription to access.

My question is "Will Novell be more, or less, attractive to a potential buyer after the merger?"

Also, since Novell has licensing or partnership agreements for their products with probably all the possible buyers, what additional benefit would a buyer realize by owning Novell?

Regards,
Elmo
