No doubt, if we had to do it over again, there would have been very little left of North Vietnam by 1965, and it wouldn't have been inhabitable for quite some years to come...

"So I assume that all sane men consider all human life sacred"

I have never claimed to consider all life to be sacred. But then again, I never claimed to be sane either.

With regards to the abortions:

If one were to go by The Bible, the penalty for causing a woman to lose her unborn child is a fine to be paid to the father for his property loss. Obviously, if an abortionist were to cause a woman to lose her child, the Biblical penalty would be compensating the father of the child. And, if the father of the child were to actually commission this abortion, he would forfeit his compensation for property loss.

Of course, I reject the Bible as the source of all wisdom.

Prior to "The Breath of Life" which is the point at which a fetus first breathes in amniotic fluid, the fetus is no more a soul than is the mother's hand. It is, for all intents and purposes, part of the mother.

After "The Breath of Life" the fetus becomes a soul and a living animal with all the rights to life of a farm animal. Up to the point of viability outside the womb (about 5 months currently), it is up to each host to decide at what point this soul becomes a human being. After the point of viability outside the womb is reached, it should probably be accepted that the soul has become a human being subject to human rights protections. Alas, I do not have the wisdom to truly decide this.

Thomas A Watson,

You said-
So I assume that all sane men consider all human life sacred

You also have called people on this thread-
"retards" 103 times
"asshole" 2 times.
"scumbag" 37 times.
"pig" 106 times.
"brain dead" 10 times.

Is that part of your sacred view of human life?
