His (4) target would look considerably different if he were to use a log chart. The % move of (2) is ~41%, (3042 to 4289) so a corresponding % move of (4) would yield roughly 2283. Now this is a number I could make work a lot better. Of course, I still think direction is more important than setting a target, as long as one is aware of a possible turning point in time, why need a target? Just ride it and get stopped out--whatever, to each their own I suppose.

Agreed,

and thx for the putting the astoecon chart, (Author: Robert Hitt), in context with the favoured scenario here. I just wanted to keep the wider frame on the fringe.

I'll stay away from the bullish COMP count for now as it portends new highs<gg>

I will be very surprised myself to see the COMPX clear the island gap around 2450-2500... that could be a key to setting a most convincing trap if it happens though.

Of course, I'll let the market dictate, but micro and macro economic conditions almost certainly command further long term weakness across the board... in all the indexes, with some great counter trend rallies.

Keep up the great work all, much appreciated.

Best,

JM

Well, looks like it was a bad move to hold overnite....I am surprised with the jump in NDX futures based on GDP report...but, as troubling, is the jump that the Dow looks to take at open...looks like we'll open near yesterday's resistance and/or above...

Does this put the preferred scenario in (danger immediately violated? Targets (I'm assuming 2095 is the key)....but I know you are also less comfortable with the COMPX heading down (w DJA heading up). Certainly didn't expect this...
